Nah, neither did we!
Yesterday Kanye’s latest sneakers were released, available in three colourways – Black Red, Black Copper & Black Green, retailing at £150 a pair.
Various online outlets hosted raffles in order for individuals to be in with a chance of winning a pair. To enter into the raffle participants had to enter their payment details online, entrants were selected at random and contacted within 3 hours of release if successful.
Large crowds of people queued outside selected stores awaiting the release of the trainers, and of course, the sneaks sold out within hours!
A store in Shoreditch, London, five hundred Yeezy fanatics each waited for a wristband which granted them access into the store, but after two hours of waiting chaos erupted and the police had to be called.
Uproar began when a group of four men allegedly jumped out of a Range Rover and attempted to jump to the front of the queue.
One shopper reported “Lots of people started pushing in. Then police came in a large van. I saw people get into rows with each other and getting pushed back out of the line again”.
However, many lucky sods who did manage to cop a pair are re-selling them across social media for a price of £400 in order to make an immediate profit.
On the Adidas website it states the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 are “redesigned yet true to their roots” and “is crafted with beautiful, premium materials that infuse Adidas’ technology with Kanye West’s unmistakable aesthetic”.
Although these three colourways of the sneakers are now sold out, the Black/White version of these trainers are rumoured to be released shortly. Ahwell, better luck next time!
