Review: Astroid Boys Live – The Key Club, Leeds – 01/10/17

You know by now if the Cardiff lads are in town, so are we!

Last week Astroid Boys played a small number of shows across the UK in celebration of their debut album release ‘Broke’. Lucky for us, we were invited down to join them!

After support acts Sweet Vision and Resist warmed the crown up, it was time for Astroid Boys to take to the stage and show Yorkshire how it’s done!

At release shows you usually expect to hear the release in full, with the tracks performed in the same order as on the album. Not at an Astroid Boys show, they know how to keep things fresh and performed a number of fan favourites from their previous releases, as well as a number of tracks from their debut release “Broke”, such as Cheque, Mask, Razz, Foreigners, and Dirt (to name a few). The loyal and lively fans tore the room apart, (including a pipe off the ceiling). Stage dives, crowd surfing, mosh pits, you know how it is. If you didn’t manage to head down to a release show you truly missed out!

Massive shouts to Benji for inviting us along, we had a sick time as always!
